This introductory software class is a first look at 3D modeling with computer assisted design (CAD) in Autodesk’s Fusion 360 software package. Free to use for hobbyists, Fusion 360 is the first step in bringing designs to life via 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, or other manufacturing techniques.
This class will run two consecutive days and cover foundational concepts and tools used in 3D design, as well as briefly expounding on a few more advanced tools and techniques. By the end of the second session each student will have finished projects capable of being 3D printed. This class is excellent preparation for 180 Studios fabrication classes (3D printing, Shopbot CNC, laser cutting, etc.).
