Walter is going to be helping students make their very own tote bag from Denim Scraps. We have the denim supply here, but if you have a favorite pair of worn out jeans, please bring them in. You will learn how to cut, measure and sew fabrics together using our Sewing Machines. If you have any extra patches that you would like added please bring them in. Great part of making bags from blue jeans is there is always enough pockets. This is a great class to learn a new skill or offer a great present to someone. These bags are very heavy duty and are great for your farmers markets trips, easy to wash and keep clean.
Walter learned to sew at his grandmothers knee, and has since been making things from fabrics for the last 50 years. He comes from a family of seamsters and has passed on the trade to his daughter Luka.
