Teacher bio Shannon Marshall
Shannon Marshall is a local to Sonoma County, sewing and teaching professionally for 20 years now. You may have met Shannon at The Place That Sells Sewing Machines (2001 - 2007) or Meissner Sewing (2013 - 2018). She has experience sewing for a number of local businesses and local designers. She’s the owner of Sonoma County Sewing Company, a full service sewing studio, teaching studio, and maker space for sewing. Her students will tell you that she knows a lot about sewing and she’s really fun to work with!
‘Sew Like a Pro’! This workshop is all about professional seam finishes and hemming techniques for a variety of fabrics. What do you do about ravelly linen? How do you handle stretchy lycra? Do you dare work with denim? Learn the answers to these questions and more! You will sew technique samples to keep and you’ll be sewing like a pro before you know it.
