This will be a 2-3 hour class. In this class you will learn about the tools, materials, and skills you'll need to design, plan, and fabricate, extraordinary foam props. For learning purposes we'll be making a basic foam shield, made to look like wood. We will spend a brief amount of time understanding the tools and materials needed to start and complete a basic foam prop. From there, we will go through the design phase. The second half of the class will be dedicated to the assembly of the shield and detailing. By the end of the class we will have made a sweet "wooden" sheild. Great for costuming or display! Prerequisites: None Materials will be provided which includes: Foam Contact cement Brushes for applying contact cement Hot glue gun Hot glue sticks Ruler Sharpie Utility knife Masking tape Dremel sanding stones Disposable respiratory mask It is recommended to bring a Dremel (rotary) tool. There will be a couple available in class, but will need to be shared.
