registration required and available through Eventbrite
This is a four session class taking place over consecutive Saturdays starting January 27th and ending February 17th. Ticket price includes all four sessions.
Attendees will learn the basics of electronics and coding using the popular Arduino microcontroller board. After a brief overview of the Arduino ecosystem, we'll dive right in and write our first sketch. Next we'll move on to hands-on activities with various sensors and actuators, learn about functions and variables, and learn how to use libraries in our programs, among other topics. While not necessary to take the class, the kits being used will be available for purchase for a materials fee of $75.00 which includes an Arduino and all required components as well as a project board for learning how to solder. By the end of this four session course, students will have acquired enough knowledge to begin coding on their own, and even be able to design their own Arduino controlled robot!
