About us

The mission of 180 Studios is to provide a dynamic environment for multi-generational collaboration that supports the teaching, learning, and practicing of industrial arts, creative arts, engineering, and design.

The North Bay Area of California is alive with "makers," creative people seeking to fuse vocation with avocation: technology start-ups, winemakers and brewers, artists working in all varieties of media, educators looking to bring learning to life. North Bay Makers is a 501(c)(3) organization whose goal is to provide a dynamic environment for multi-generational collaboration that supports the teaching, learning, and practicing of industrial arts, creative arts, engineering, and design.

The environment we have created is 180 Studios, a 15,000 square foot facility conveniently located to serve the North Bay, directly off Highway 101 at the southernmost end of Santa Rosa at 150 Todd Road. 180 Studios includes workshop space, rental studios and storage space, classrooms, and meeting space.

180 Studios' programs are community-directed and designed to serve a broad spectrum of people and interests:

  • trade/career apprentice
  • inventors
  • small businesses
  • senior mentors
  • youth, young adult education

180 Studios provides equipment to meet the needs of hobbyists as well as those engaged in income-producing activities. The building provides ample and diverse spaces for workshops on a wide range of topics such as metalworking, fiber arts, and robotics, and an ideal setting for maker-related community events.
